The staff/owners were brilliant, very friendly and chatty.We knew it was going to be a basic site so we had no problem with that.The bins in the field were full and overflowing whilst we were there.It wasn't until we were leaving that we found out that there was a toilet waste.We had looked at some of the previous reviews regarding cleanliness and thought that they were just being picky.I would have to agree that even though it is a basic site it is not as clean as it should be.Shower had the same hairs on it all the weekend. Cobwebs had brick dust on them which meant that they were there for a very long time and the toilets smelt of ammonia due to the chickens being next door which was very strong, you could not stay to long in the toilet. Only cold water in the toilets/washroom.

What a brill peaceful weekend.People who run site are brill and happy to help with every eventuality. They even take time out to take kids around there animals to feed pigs, horses etc Brill place can't wait to go again.Very nice people.Plenty space for kids to enjoy games etc.Free showers what more can you ask for.Even have little shop for bits maybe forgotten

Very basic site, nice if you want to be out in the wild. Terrible ablution facilities that look like they haven't been cleaned in a couple of years. Very scenic though

We stayed here for 5 weeks after a flood at our house.The cottage has all the facilities you need and is very peaceful and quiet.John and Suzanne and Stacey are very helpful and friendly.We will miss the peace and tranquillity and our dog Scrufty will miss all the friends he made.Highly recommended for a short stay, business trip or longer.Thank you for making us so welcome!
