I had a terrible experience with Mr Dowding when I had my rottweiler put to sleep. His attitude was very poor and appeared to not have any feelings towards the dog or how the experience was affecting myself . He refused to destroy her without a muzzle on even though she was not aggressive . The practice nurse was given the fluid to inject my dog which initially did not fully euthanise her . Nurse went for help and a second dose was given by Mr Dowding with him kneeling on her neck as she was still moving about . It was terribly distressing for me and I felt my dog did not have the peaceful death she was entitled too. He then snapped " you leaving her or taking her home " . He put her in my boot like a bag of rubbish . He came across as uncaring . His lady partner was also rude . We changed vets immediately and would never return ..now this was some time ago so hopefully things have changed and pets are treated better . I have no idea why this happened to my beautiful girl and it still haunts me
My dog had a fall from the sofa and was in a great deal of pain with her back leg. I took her straight in and was told it was probably just bruised. For the next 6 months I continued to take her back but again nothing was done. I finally requested an x ray which showed her leg was dislocated... at this point pdsa was stopping in the area, but I was told surgery will be carried out to help her. A week before the pdsa officially ran out her OP was cancelled telling me she would adapt and be fine. Fast forward a year and shes 2 weeks post op after having the leg amputated... a year and a half of her being in agony, arent vets suppose to care? The blonde receptionist middle aged; perhaps the most rudest, snotty person I've ever come in to contact with, nothing more to say
I have no hesitation recommending this vets. Both raoul & claire were so caring with our lab Marley. Unfortunately our boy could not be saved as he had the dreaded C. The fact they cared about him as much as we did made the whole week of him being ill a little easier to cope with. Thank you all for giving him such fabulous care and more importantly cuddles!!
Staff brilliant warm welcoming people and pets persons, everyone of them,1st class, 1st rate always have been with every pet I have had and my boy Boris loves them all,,
Really good staff. Looked after my dog very well. He had a big op and they were great with him.
